Lauren Pike has felt right at home at Mizzou where she graduated with a BA in English and minor in Journalism. In other words, she likes to tell students, she studied writing on purpose. She joined the Fellowships Office in October 2022 and previously worked as an academic advisor in the Missouri School of Journalism. Before that, she served as a writing tutor to undergraduate and graduate students at MU’s Writing Center. It was there that she discovered her passion for building students’ skills and confidence in the complex (and often dreaded) writing process. Outside the office, you can find her geeking out over various nerdoms, snapping pics of her cats’ latest misadventures, or reading a juicy sci fi novel.
