MU Excels

3:30 PM to 5:00 PM

Zoom

The 15th annual MU Excels program honors the outstanding achievements of Mizzou students who applied for nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships during the current academic year.

Many deserving applicants aren’t selected for the prestigious awards they apply for. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t win. Applying  and competing for national awards hones a student’s ability to define their academic and career goals and improves their ability to advocate for their intellectual development. Those hard-earned skills make them better candidates for future internships, graduate school programs and jobs.

MU Excels celebrates that hard work and recognizes our students’ place in a community of people who embrace big dreams and turn toward tough challenges.

The program also recognizes the community of mentors who support students on their journeys with the awarding of the annual Ann K. Covington Award for student mentorship.
