Do you want to go to Australia? Well now you can on a Fulbright CSIRO Postgraduate Scholarship! This scholarship provides the opportunity for American citizens to undertake 8-12 months postgraduate research with Australia’s leading and largest science research organisation, CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation), working on Australia’s most ambitious scientific research program, the National Research Flagships. Interested in a year of graduate school in Scotland starting in the Fall 2008? Then check out the Scotland USA Graduate Scholarships! The deadline for scholarship applications is July 1, 2008. For more information, check out their website.

This award offers American citizens of exceptional ability & outstanding achievement the opportunity to pursue graduate studies in engineering, mathematics, or the sciences at Cambridge in the UK.  The total award is worth $48,000-$53,000 for nine or twelve months. The Fellowship program is for Asian research.

Graduate study in religious journalism

  • The grant will assist one United Methodist student in their post-graduate study at an accredited U.S. college or university who intends on pursuing a career in religious journalism.

William E. Simon Fellowship

The William E. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose exists to recognize graduating college seniors who are pursuing lives dedicated to and distinguished by honor, generosity, service, and respect.

J.W. Saxe Memorial Prize for Public Service

Only those applicants satisfying the following criteria will be considered:

  • undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college or university;
  • seeking support for an internship in public service, not general support;
  • demonstrated public service activity -- past, present and/or future;
  • financial need will be taken into consideration.

Deadline: March 15, 2008

Applicants should send a resume together with an essay describing short- and long-term goals - including the need for funds - together with three letters of reference, at least one from a faculty member.
