National Security Education Program David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships

Enrolled undergraduate or graduate students with goals to work for the U.S. Government receive study abroad funding for one year to study the language and culture of a country critical to U.S. security.

Freeman-Asia

The primary goal of Freeman-ASIA is to increase the number of U.S. undergraduates who study in East and Southeast Asia, by providing them with the information and financial assistance they will need.

Benjamin A. Gilman

This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

Barry M. Goldwater

Created to encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering, and to foster excellence in those fields.

Institute for International Public Policy (IIPP)

Represents a direct response to the identified national need to create a more diverse talent pool of well-trained, language-proficient professionals from which U.S. international affairs agencies and organizations can draw highly qualified personnel. Funds are for underrepresented minorities seeking careers in international affairs.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship

Seeks to attract outstanding students from all ethnic, racial and social backgrounds who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career in the U.S. Department of State. Provides funding for a junior year summer institute and two summer internships. Pickering provides tuition remittance and a study abroad experience.

Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships

Furthers international understanding among people of different countries. Funding is generally for one academic year of study in another country. Application takes place 18 months before study abroad experience. Applicant may apply thru the Rotary in their hometown or in Columbia.

Morris K. Udall Foundation

Honors Udall by educating a new generation to preserve and protect their national heritage through studies in the environment and related fields, or Native Americans and Alaska Natives who study health care and tribal policy.
